Organizing: Sweet Sixteen

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." - Philipians 4:13

This past February I was given the task to organize my little sister's 16th birthday party. If you had told me that a mere petite 17 year old girl who just completed her High-School would have organized such a soiree all on her own, I would've thought you were nuts. But with God, nothing's impossible.

"And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sank into his forehead; and he feel upon his face to the earth." 1 Samuel 17:49

We went for an outdoor event. The theme colors were black, white and pink.

The buffet of platters.
I had rolled up the invitations with pink or black fabric ribbon according to the type of invitation card , inside the rolled up card was a little mint candy.
A message board. Thanx for the idea J!

An arc at the entrance, which we decorated with balloons.
Each table had a bowl of candy.
The entrance - A photos of the birthday princess and, a welcoming drink.
The Birthday Cake - A cupcake cake.
The table where she sat with her BFF's, also a banner which I made from scratch. I'f your're reading this B, thanx for the idea!
One of the two invitation cards, specially designed by me.
The other invitation card, also designed by me.

I got alot of support from my friends. Really appreciated that.
